Objective: 

●          Serve the customers of Howard’s Drug and Medical Supply by offering superior customer service and top quality medical supplies.

 Qualifications: 

•           Must be flexible, dependable, and have the ability to solve problems while on the go

•           Communicate effectively with seniors, people of all ages and coworkers, smile and make people feel welcome; be willing to “go the extra mile”

•           Must be competent with use of computers, email, the internet, Bonafide/Brightree/Encore, and Microsoft Office (especially Outlook and Excel)

Responsibilities Include:

•           Responds to telephone inquiries and orders from homecare patients, doctors and referral sources as well as follow-up phone calls and letters

•           Determines the best method for providing services

•           Processes telephone orders by preparing patient paperwork

•           Fitting of some medical equipment/especially wheelchairs

•           Complies with and adheres to all regulatory compliance areas, policies and procedures and Medicare “best practices”

•           Resolves patient complaints by identifying problems and coordinating appropriate corrective action

•           Coordinates the delivery, set-up and pick-up of equipment, supplies and services with appropriate personnel

•           Primary person to oversee all out-of-store, hospital, doctor and respiratory marketing

•           Schedule appointments

•           Act as go-to persons for billing paperwork claims that go to doctor’s offices

•           Educates physicians, hospital personnel, home health agencies and other traditional referral sources on contracted partner’s policies and procedures

•           Knowledge of  billing LCD’s of what is covered and not covered by certain 3rd party insurances, Medicare, and especially DSHS

•           Variety of other day-to-day requirements

Education and/or experience:

•           Education or experience equivalent to a college degree is required and life experience

Compensation:

•           Salary at $30,000/year + monthly performance-based commission of $500-$3,000 depending on sales

•           Health insurance is provided as well as vision and dental

Hours:

●          Flexible (40+ hours/week) depending on customer traffic Monday-Friday.  Hours will include an occasional Saturday.
